Fantasy Football Preview: Oakland Raiders

Darren McFadden, RB
The oft-injured McFadden started 12 games and rushed for 707 yards. Both figures were the second-highest in his five-year career. McFadden also had 42 receptions for 258 yards. He ran for just three TDs and caught one. He averaged a league-low 3.27 yards per carry. McFadden has had just one strong year, 2010, when he gained 1157 yards with seven TDs and caught 47 passes for 507 yards and three TDs, finishing fifth in yards from scrimmage.  And even in that year, he only played in 13 games.
Denarius Moore, WR
In his second season, Moore had 51 receptions for 741 yards and seven TDs, leading Raider wide receivers in all three categories. Moore has 13 TDs (12 receiving, one rushing) in two years. With tight end Brandon Myers and WR Darrius Heyward-Bey no longer on the team, Moore is positioned to become Oakland’s primary receiver.
Marcel Reece, RB 
Reece had 271 rushing yards and caught 52 passes for 496 yards and one TD as starting fullback and backup to McFadden. Much of his production came when McFadden was sidelined, particularly in week 11 against the Saints when Reece rushed for 103 yards and caught four passes for 90 yards.  Rashad Jennings, who came over from Jacksonville, and rookie Latavius Murray are also in the mix to get carries in the event McFadden is hurt.
Rod Streater, WR 
Streater, an undrafted rookie in 2012, was fourth on the Raiders with 584 receiving yards, but second to Moore among players still on the team. Streater had 39 receptions for 15.0 yards per receptions, leading the Raiders’ receivers. He had three TDs.  Streater finished strong, with the bulk of his production coming in December, when he had 18 receptions for 351 yards, averaging 19.5 YPR.
David Ausberry, TE
With Myers going to the Giants, the Raiders have an opening at tight end.  Ausberry, drafted in the seventh round in 2011, could get the nod despite having career totals of nine receptions for 106 yards and no TDs. Ausberry’s competition includes Richard Gordon, who was drafted one round ahead of Ausberry in 2011 but has just three career receptions for 11 yards and one TD, as well as two rookies who were also drafted late. Nick Kasa is a sixth-round pick out of Colorado and Mychal Rivera, out of Tennessee, was also drafted in the sixth round, 12 spots after Kasa.
